The Rizareios Foundation continues its endeavour to conserve and disseminate historical memory through photographic documentation with the present volume. The foreign artists, inspired by the spirit of the era, travelled across Attica, Viotia and the Peloponnese to provide their own view on important archaeological sites. The colourful human figures that appear perhaps as a myhtical element in some of the photographs endow the latter with a quality that elevates them to the status of art.
